Family Doctor in Kyiv: Your Personal Health Manager at CSM Clinic

A modern family doctor is not just a specialist who writes sick notes during a cold. This is your trusted partner and the first point of contact in the health care system. The family doctor knows your family's history and your body's particular features, and coordinates the whole treatment process. At CSM Clinic in Kyiv, we offer a new format of working with a general practitioner: minimal waiting, comfortable conditions, and modern diagnostic methods.

What Does a Family Doctor Do?

A general practitioner is a versatile specialist who can address many health questions. At CSM Clinic, you can see a general practitioner for:

Signing a Declaration with a Doctor

Signing a declaration is your "ticket" to quality health care. You have the right to choose a doctor you trust, regardless of where you are registered to live.

The signing procedure is as simple as possible:

  1. Visit: You come to the CSM Clinic administrator with your passport, taxpayer ID number (IPN), and mobile phone. To sign a declaration for a child, a birth certificate is required.
  2. Registration: Your details are entered into the electronic health care system.
  3. Confirmation: You receive an SMS with a confirmation code.
  4. Signature: The doctor and the patient sign the declaration. From that moment, you are covered.

The declaration is open-ended and does not need to be renewed every year (except when your passport details or phone number change).

Advantages of a Family Doctor at CSM Clinic

Why do Kyiv residents trust us with their health?

When Should You Call an Ambulance Instead of Contacting Your Doctor?

It is important to remember that a family doctor provides planned care. If you have an acute condition, such as chest pain, loss of consciousness, a temperature above 39°C (102°F) that does not come down, or a serious injury, do not waste time on messages; call emergency medical services immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay for a visit if I have signed a declaration?

Under the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) package of services, basic family doctor services (an examination, basic tests, vaccination according to the schedule) are free for a patient who has signed a declaration with our doctor. Please ask the administrator for details about the list of free services.

Can I book an appointment if I have not signed a declaration with the doctor?

Yes, CSM Clinic provides general practitioner services on a paid basis for patients without a declaration. This is convenient if your doctor is on vacation or you are in Kyiv temporarily.

How do I get a referral to a specialist?

The family doctor issues an electronic referral after the initial examination if there are medical indications for it. With this referral, you can see the relevant specialist.

What documents do I need for the visit?

If you are already a patient of our clinic, an ID is enough (it can be in the "Diia" app). If this is your first visit, bring your passport and tax ID number to register your patient record.

Does the family doctor make house calls?

The decision about a house call is made by the doctor personally, after assessing the patient's condition by phone. However, we recommend coming to the clinic, which has everything needed for quality diagnosis (tests, instrumental examinations) that cannot be done at home.
