The child's own voice and the teacher's voice are used during training. ForBrain was developed by specialists from Hong Kong.
ForBrain sessions are recommended for children with various speech and communication difficulties (autism spectrum disorders, alalia, stuttering, dysarthria, and others), as well as learning difficulties at school.
ForBrain is also used with adults who want to improve the quality of their speech and voice, reduce an accent, prepare for public speaking, or learn a foreign language more effectively.
ForBrain is designed to activate all aspects of sound signal transmission and processing. It uses a vibrating device that enhances bone conduction (which is considerably faster than air conduction) and a special dynamic filter that enriches the sound of speech with high frequencies.
Using ForBrain may help a person become a more attentive listener and improve the quality of their voice and speech: the child hears their own voice in a modified form, and the brain has to adjust its work in response to these changes.
ForBrain does not replace sessions with specialists, but it is a good complement that may help make exercises with a speech therapist, music therapist, or art therapist more effective. During the whole session or part of it, the child wears the ForBrain headset and hears their own voice and the teacher's voice in an acoustically modified form.
The creators of ForBrain recommend using it daily for 10-20 minutes.
