A pediatrician in Kyiv: a reliable health partner for your child. Comprehensive care, prevention, and treatment at CSM Clinic.
A pediatrician is the main doctor in a child's life. This is not just a specialist who treats a runny nose or listens to the lungs. A pediatrician is a trusted adviser to the family who follows the baby from the first day of life to adulthood, knows all the features of the child's development, and helps the child grow up healthy. At CSM Clinic in Kyiv, we have changed the approach to pediatrics. Instead of queues, stress, and formal checkups, we offer care, evidence-based medicine, and comfort. Our pediatricians aim to become friends to young patients and a reliable support for their parents.
We are here in any situation: from a routine weigh-in of an infant to complex cases that require a multidisciplinary approach.
Routine visits (Check-up):
Urgent care: Do not delay the visit if your child has:
At CSM Clinic, there are no frightening white coats or cold instruments.
It is hard to do based on symptoms alone. A complete blood count (CBC) with a white cell differential is the standard approach. In a bacterial infection, neutrophils and ESR usually rise; in a viral one, lymphocytes and monocytes do. A CSM Clinic pediatrician orders the test before deciding on antibiotics.
The word "often" is relative. For a child who attends kindergarten, 8–10 episodes of acute respiratory infection a year can be normal (the immune system is "training"). However, if the illnesses come with complications (ear infections, pneumonia) or require frequent antibiotic courses, that is a reason for a more detailed examination by a pediatrician and an immunologist.
The best "vitamins" are balanced nutrition, sleep, and walks outdoors. The only vitamin recommended for children in Ukraine as a preventive measure (especially in autumn and winter) is vitamin D. Other supplements are prescribed by a doctor only when a deficiency is confirmed.
A mild runny nose or residual symptoms after an illness (without fever or a change in general condition) is not a contraindication to vaccination according to current international recommendations. The final decision is made by the pediatrician after an examination.
We prepare all the necessary medical documentation: certificates for kindergarten/school (form 086-1/o), certificates for the pool and sports clubs, the vaccination record (form 063/o), and sick leave for parents caring for a sick child.
