NHSU information for citizens about the Medical Guarantees Program

The Medical Guarantees Program (MGP) of the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) is a comprehensive package of medical services provided to the population of the country. The main goal of the MGP is to provide accessible and quality medical care to all citizens of Ukraine regardless of their social status, financial means and place of residence. The MGP defines the scope and list of medical services provided at the expense of the state budget, and sets the rules for their provision and funding. CSM Clinic is one of the private clinics that have signed a contract with the NHSU.

Medical Guarantees Program from the NHSU

The Medical Guarantees Program (MGP) is a health care initiative in Ukraine aimed at providing citizens with access to medical services and medicines regardless of income and social status. The program is funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) and covers a range of services, including primary care, specialist consultations, laboratory tests and inpatient treatment. The MGP also includes a number of preventive medical services, such as vaccination, cancer screening and health education programs. These services are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping prevent chronic diseases.

The MGP is available to all citizens of Ukraine. However, to receive medical care, you should go to facilities that have valid contracts with the NHSU. CSM Clinic is one of them. Here the program focuses on providing outpatient rehabilitation care for adults and for children from 3 years of age.

Publicly funded rehabilitation services at CSM Clinic

The rehabilitation care program covers the following areas:

To receive medical services under the program, patients need to present an e-referral from a primary care doctor or attending physician and an identity document. You can also come for a paid appointment directly at CSM Clinic, where the doctor can refer you to the appropriate specialist for further publicly funded rehabilitation. The MGP covers the cost of medical services, including consultations with a PM&R (physical medicine and rehabilitation) doctor and multidisciplinary team specialists, diagnostic tests and treatment according to an individual plan (including psychological support and a consultation with a speech specialist).

Why use the program?

One of the key advantages of the MGP is that it gives patients access to medical care regardless of their financial situation. The program is intended to reduce the financial burden on patients and provide them with the necessary medical care. The MGP also aims to reduce the burden on the health care system by providing medical services that may help prevent chronic diseases.

Overall, the Medical Guarantees Program is an important initiative that provides Ukrainian citizens with access to quality medical care. By offering patients access to the MGP, CSM Clinic primarily focuses on rehabilitation care for adults and children. It can cover a wide range of conditions and disorders. This includes professional consultations with specialists such as rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, speech therapists and others. Treatment procedures available at the expense of the NHSU include various types of massage, physiotherapy, therapeutic exercise, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and more. Overall, the MGP aims to improve the health of Ukrainian citizens, which is an important prerequisite for reducing the burden on the health care system.

By choosing CSM Clinic, patients can receive a number of additional benefits: an interdisciplinary approach, modern methods of physical and mental rehabilitation, quality equipment and experienced doctors.
