Thigh Adductor Muscle Syndrome (ARS Syndrome)

Thigh adductor muscle syndrome, or ARS syndrome, is an unpleasant condition accompanied by inflammation and pain. It occurs because of constant overloading of the thigh muscles. It is seen in soccer players and dancers. Sometimes the disease develops on its own, but more often it accompanies the development of hip joint arthrosis.

How We Treat ARS Syndrome

CSM Medical Center welcomes patients with ARS syndrome. We have developed a shockwave therapy (ESWT) program specifically for thigh muscle conditions. In many cases, pain can be reduced and an active lifestyle restored without surgery, injections, or a long course of medication. Simply book an appointment for an examination. Then experienced doctors will explain how many procedures are needed, with what intensity and frequency.

Our orthopedist will examine the thigh muscles and assess the overall mobility of the joint. Then, in accordance with the diagnosis and the severity of the condition, the doctor prescribes shockwave therapy. Usually 7-9 procedures are needed for ARS syndrome, after which relief may occur and symptoms may subside.

The Shockwave Therapy Procedure

Our doctors conduct shockwave therapy sessions using modern equipment. BTL-5000 SWT Power and BTL-6000 SWT Power devices act precisely and gently with acoustic waves. Precise, targeted impulses during therapy may produce a good result:

A course of shockwave therapy may help avoid complications and restore normal joint function. The specialists of CSM are ready to provide professional care to their patients.
